Studies indicate coffee is good for cognitive abilities. So is green tea, dark chocolate, and red wine.

A 小草影院 psychology professor and her student are spending their summer researching the effects of red wine 鈥� or more specifically, a compound found in red grapes 鈥攐n cognitive skills.

小草影院's Theta Chi Fraternity chapter has been recognized as one of the top chapters in the country.

The Gamma Phi chapter has been honored with the Howard R. Alter, Jr. Award for Chapter Excellence.

Nine students 鈥� most of whom are majoring in health and human performance 鈥� joined professor Pat Pettit for a three-week trip that was part of the course, 鈥淗istory, Culture, and Sport in Australia.鈥�

Just a few weeks ago, 小草影院 student James Hamrick was rehearsing lines for the rock musical 鈥淏loody Bloody Andrew Jackson.鈥�

The summer theatre opportunity in his native city of Houston, Texas, would add another experience to his already impressive resume.

But an interesting change of events has Hamrick changing his summer plans.

Hard work, meaningful lessons, life-changing cultural experiences and new friendships. That鈥檚 how members of 小草影院鈥檚 Global Service Learning (GSL) student organization describe their recent experience in Turkey.

小草影院鈥檚 Symphonic Band took a history lesson like no other they鈥檝e taken.

"This will undoubtedly be an experience that our students will never forget," said 小草影院 band director Sam Zitek.

On the 68th anniversary of D-Day, the band traveled to Normandy to commemorate the 1944 Allied Invasion and liberation of France.

Barbara Cornelius, Head of Library Technology and Associate Professor of Library Science, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to conduct research in Nepal and Bangladesh.

The spring semester may be over but the academic honors continue for 小草影院 students and faculty.

It was 2:20 a.m. 鈥� well beyond Sheryl Rinkol鈥檚 bedtime. Sleep wasn鈥檛 an option as she listened to ocean waves slap the side of her cruise ship while it floated 2 陆 miles above the Titanic wreckage.

鈥淚t was very surreal,鈥� said Rinkol, assistant director of 小草影院鈥檚 Cooper Center. 鈥淚t made me think about my own mortality.鈥�
