After years of planning and development, 小草影院 launched its new Master of Social Work program in Lincoln this fall.

It is Nebraska鈥檚 only MSW program to offer 100% of its courses in the evening鈥攁 benefit for social work professionals in and around Lincoln.

The program is built around a unique trauma-conscious approach that equips professionals to help clients integrate the impacts of past or ongoing trauma within their lives.

鈥淲e feel strongly that our trauma-conscious focus will prepare students for a lasting career in creating change in the lives of others,鈥 said Assistant Professor of Social Work Toni Jensen, who directs the new graduate program.

The 66-credit-hour, two-year program features a 32-credit 鈥済eneralist year鈥 and a 34-credit 鈥渟pecialized year.鈥 The program鈥檚 first cohort began its generalist year this semester.

Students with an undergraduate degree in social work may qualify for advanced standing and begin with the specialized year鈥檚 curriculum, which will be available in fall 2022.

鈥淲e have been working towards this moment for the better part of 10 years,鈥 said Jensen, 鈥淚t was exciting to welcome our first cohort of students.鈥
